Did Work

Today was the first day of my week in NJ working on my MG. I think things went pretty well for day one. I started out with simple stuff: distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, fan belt, drained the cooling system (what was left in it), pulled all the hoses (some were really difficult to get off), replaced some hoses (more to follow), pulled the carbs, bled the brakes and clutch and pulled the master cylinders for the brakes and clutch. Tomorrow I’m hoping to rebuild both master cylinders and the rest of the brake system. I’ll be rebuilding the carbs this week as well, of course. The other mechanical things I plan on doing this week are replacing all of the motor and transmission mounts and the U-joints on the driveshaft and maybe some other miscellaneous things. We’ll see if I have time to get to the interior or not, but I am planning on bringing the seats back home with me to reupholster.

So far, so good =)
